This piece was created during 1708 Gallery's annual Monster Drawing Rally event. For more information on the event, please visit 1708's website.
Big changes happening: new job, new opportunities, and soon a new living space (and new studio!). Increasingly excited about all of the above. The past few months have proven to be a very busy and productive time for all sorts of freelance writing opportunities. To start, my latest pieces for Richmond Arts Review may be found here and here. Check back often for responses, reviews, and insights to Richmond's visual and performing arts scene (and if you- or someone you know- is interested in the arts and would like to write a guest post for RAR, contact us!) Upcoming events and exhibitions include participation in 1708 Gallery's Monster Drawing Rally and a joint exhibition of collages and photographs with Will Solis at artspace in 2014.
Cheers Varnishing, matting, and framing this weekend.
Despite my previous misconceptions, I may have a newfound appreciation for small works. Certainly another creative path for me to wander more. I am thrilled that Light Lure by Courtney Johnson is opening at Candela tomorrow night. My review of the exhibition for Style Weekly can be found here.
Places Forgotten | Spaces Imagined has ended and it was a nice run. Currently making preparations to participate in the invitational thinksmall exhibition hosted by artspace. Two-dimensional works can be no larger than 3"x3". Challenge accepted! Photos to come. Major additions to the collage page also coming soon. |
